Event seating arrangements — tables, capacity and guest assignment

Once RSVPs arrive, a list of names needs to become a seating plan. Meusharim lets you set seats per table and instantly see occupancy based on the number of people assigned.

3 seats left

A clear available status while you plan.

Full

The table is exactly at capacity.

2 over

No blocking — just a clear over-capacity warning.

Capacity for every table

Give each table a name or number and a capacity such as 10 or 12. Meusharim counts people from the assigned RSVPs, including families with multiple participants.

Remaining, full or over

When space remains, you see how many seats are left. At exact capacity the table is marked Full. If you choose to go over, the assignment is kept and the system shows by how many.

Why going over is not blocked

Real events are flexible: an extra chair, a child joining, a temporary planning decision. Capacity is an operational signal rather than a hard barrier, so you can keep working and adjust later.

Existing assignments stay safe

You can assign guests before setting capacity. Adding or removing a capacity value later does not delete the table assignments already made.

Seating connected to check-in

The assigned table is also visible at entry, helping the team direct arriving guests using the same data prepared before the event.

FAQ

What happens if I exceed table capacity?

The assignment is saved. The system shows how many people over capacity you are and does not block the action.

Does a family of four count as four seats?

Yes. Capacity uses the confirmed participant count, not just the number of RSVP records.

Can I set capacity after guests are already assigned?

Yes. Existing assignments stay and occupancy is recalculated immediately.
